Carpet rugs can be found in a lot of designs and colors.  You would be hard pressed to not find a rug that will suit any one of the rooms in your house.  Most rugs come as circles, ovals, squares, and rectangles.  Depending on your own personal preferences mostly, you can choose from any of these to decorate a room.  That said however, the longer rugs, called carpet runners, are generally used for hallways and long corridors.  So be sure to keep that in mind.

Carpet rugs do look good in a well decorated room but they can also look good in a hallway.  More so if the hall is especially long.  Frankly, it is like walking down your own personal runway in your own home.  I do not think anyone would complain about doing that.  Most people have seen carpets for sure, but even less have seen carpet runners.  Combine both those kinds of carpets in your home and it will be a real treat to both visitors and yourself.

When trying to add a little pizazz to your home, carpet runners are an uncommon but excellent way to do it.

Carpet rugs can be found in a wide variety of designs and colors which makes them perfect when you want to decorate a room.  A square or circular rug can go just about anywhere.  You can color coordinate it with the room or just go wild and do something completely incongruous!  The choice is entirely up to you.

When the dust has settled I doubt you will find something easier to manage or choose than a rug.

For a normal room – the living room, for example – which is usually a square or rectangular in shape, a rug of similar shape is well-suited for it.  You have to take into account the size of the room and purchase a rug that is of a relatively good size for that room.  Of course, you should factor in the decor of the room to make sure the rug does not drastically clash with it and make it look out of place.  Round area rugs are better suited for round or irregularly shaped rooms.  And of course, be mindful of color and furnishing.

Obviously this is not a concrete rule that has to be followed to the T.  Think of it as a guideline to ensure that you make the right choice when looking for the right rug for your house.  Like with the way you dress, you want it to look good.

This is why I prefer area rugs over carpeting.  I can say this with certainty because I have lived in a house that had floors covered with carpeting and I can tell you it was a major pain to clean, even on a weekly basis which my family and I tended to do.  When I buy a house, it will be wood floors and area rugs only for sure.

The advantage of area rugs is that they come in a variety of shapes and sizes, which means they can fit pretty much any room you want, including your very own bedroom.  And of course, they come in so many colors it can seem daunting to pick the right one for you.  But if you can coordinate paint, flooring, and the various parts of the room, rugs are much easier to choose by comparison.

While carpet rugs are a great way to show off your stylistic tendencies as well as wow visitors to your home,  rug runners will further impress your guests.  It is hard to explain but there is something gratifying about walking down a hallway that has been well taken care of while treading on a well-maintained rug runner.  It makes people feel dignified and important walking down a hall that has been carpeted; it is almost like walking down a red carpet.  If you want, you can even have red rug runners in every hallway of your house!

That last point might be a little much but that idea will certainly resonate with a few people.

Buying and installing new area rugs is a very good place to start when you want to decorate your home.  It is relatively cheap when compared to a major remodeling and can easily be changed if the end result just does not match your tastes.  Besides the rooms themselves you can add carpets to the hallways to make your home even more lavish; it will definitely make any visitors to your house feel like royalty just walking down the halls.

After we composed ourselves we began browsing section of medium sized carpet rugs.  We found some nice circular ones but she had problems picking a color.  Truth be told her fashion sense is very eclectic so we basically had the full range of colors to go with; there was nothing to hold her back really.  The main problem was choosing either a light or dark color for the rugs she wanted to buy.  After some time deliberating she picked a multi-colored, patterned rug for both the living room and her bedroom.
